(70 days) Open pollinated.
Get your skillet good and greasy for this sweet blend of frying peppers in fun colors: bright red, yellow and a distinct rich brown. Early and flavorful 2x6" thin-walled juicy fruits ripen as early as Carmen in Zone 5 on compact sturdy plants that crank out loads of fruits until first frost. Tasty fresh eating and delectable when sautéed or roasted.
To ensure a well-balanced mix, each color pepper is maintained and selected individually; there might be slight variation in the size and shape of peppers. Bred in the early 2000s by Katie Jagger and Ben Torpey at their now-latent farm-based seed company Small State Seeds in RI. Donna Dyrek and Heron Breen have continued selecting the population and growing the seed here in Maine.
