Shipping Schedule for Trees & Plants
Items from our perennial plants warehouse ordered on or before February 20 ship from March through early May, weather depending, warm states first.
Orders placed after February 20 will ship around late April through mid-May.
Priority fulfillment orders (placed by February 20): We do our best to ship to warmest areas first and coldest last, but we cannot ship precisely according to USDA zones or take your local weather conditions into account.
You will receive an automatic email confirmation with tracking info when your order ships. Once it leaves our warehouse in Maine, please allow 1-3 business days for delivery in the northeast, and 3-7 days for locations further west. Slight delays en route happen occasionally, and we pack our plants well to hold up in transit.
We understand when folks are nervous about receiving their order at an inconvenient time. You may be anxious to plant ASAP because spring is early, but we ask for your patience as we stick to our shipping schedule. Even if plants have budded out in your area, it will not be too late to plant. If your ground is still frozen when you receive your order or you do not yet have time to plant, keep your plants protected in a cool, shaded spot and keep roots moist, and they will be fine. Visit our immediate plant care instruction page for more information.
In March, we will post our approximate shipping schedule so you can get an idea of when your order will ship.
