(50 days) F-1 hybrid.
Had enough of bigheads? This sprouting broccoli’s sweet nutty shoots are tasty enough to snack on straight off the plant and delightful when lightly cooked. Tends to produce a small central head about 4" across followed by abundant side shoots that keep reliably shooting for 4 weeks—usually longer if harvested regularly.
Milder and sweeter than Quarantina raab, and slightly earlier and shooty-er than Piracicaba, Sweet Bunch nicely rounds out our non-heading broccoli selection. Tolerates heat better than raab and some other non-heading brocs; dependable for spring and fall plantings.
