For medium limbs. Gomboy is a portmanteau of the Japanese word gomu (‘rubber’) and the English word boy. The original Gomboy saw, introduced in 1985, featured the world’s first rubber-clad handle; since then the Gomboy has become the industry standard for folding saws.

This curved-blade version affords more cutting power, especially when sawing above or below the torso. Lightweight yet incredibly durable and versatile. Locks securely in two positions for flush cutting. Features a fully enclosable plastic shell that attaches to your belt. 6.8 non-set teeth per inch. Blade length: 9.45".

Our line of Silky saws comes recommended by Daniel MacPhee of Blackbird Rise Farm in Palermo, ME. According to Daniel, the Japanese Silky saws cut “a million times better” than Felco saws. The blades have more teeth per inch and are thinner and more flexible. The latter attribute improves performance but does make the blade more susceptible to bending, so be gentle with it. Silky saws cut on the pull stroke. Manufactured in Japan.
