Why wait until fall to enjoy your favorite potato dishes? We’ve selected three early varieties especially suited for “new” potatoes to be harvested when immature early in the season. New potatoes have higher moisture content, less starch, and thinner skins than mature potatoes; they are extra sweet and delicious for roasting and for summer potato salads. We wouldn’t dream of peeling a tender new potato. New potatoes will not hold for long in storage, so harvest them as needed or store them in the refrigerator. All varieties in this collection can also be grown to maturity for winter storage.
This collection of three early season varieties includes 2 lb each of Yukon Gold, Dark Red Norland and Upstate Abundance. All varieties are individually packaged and labeled.
Plant seed potatoes whole or cut into pieces 2 inches or greater (approximately 2oz) with at least two eyes present. This collection contains enough to plant up to 16 plants for each variety - up to 48 plants in total.
