Heirloom variety from before 1919. Medium-large blossom with sweet fragrance features a small yellow cup with a red rim, surrounded by rounded glistening white petals. Performs best in cool climates and tolerates damp places that other narcissus do not. Parent species Narcissus poeticus was described by Virgil, and is the source of the narcissus oil used in perfumery.
