Centennial Apple

scionwood
This is a twig for grafting. Late summer.

MN 1472 (Dolgo × Wealthy). U Minn, l957.

An unusually high-quality very small delicious fresh-eating crab with a long stem and oval shape. About the size of a small plum. Shiny smooth mottled red-pink-orange-yellow skin with a thin purplish blush. Tender crisp juicy slightly spicy tart light orange flesh. Not sweet. Good in sauce too.

Productive naturally small compact tree named in honor of Minnesota’s admission to the Union in 1858. Highly scab resistant. Blooms early. Z2.
