Delicate low-growing beautiful glossy evergreen spreading groundcover. Beautiful in rock gardens. One plant can spread to 15'.
Small pinkish-white flowers in spring. Small bright red drupe-type berries color up in late summer and persist into winter. Too insipid for fresh eating, but good fried with fish. Leaves are diuretic, astringent and antibacterial.

No need ever to prune or fertilize. Sun or partial shade. Native to North America and Eurasia. Self-pollinating. Z2. Maine Grown. (1-gallon fabric pots)
