Sparkle June-Bearing Strawberry

bare-root plants
Fragaria × ananassa Mid-Late. Fairfax × Aberdeen. New Jersey Ag Exp Stn, 1942.

We’ve yet to taste a strawberry that comes even remotely close to Sparkle. They possess a flavor that can only be described as the essence of strawberry. The best in an early year, the best in a late year, the best this year, last year, every year.

Soft small-to-medium berries make delicious fresh eating and are also excellent for jams and freezing. One of its few drawbacks is that it tends to lose color in the freezer. First fruit set is large; the rest are small.

Resistant to most strains of red stele. Blooms late, rarely affected by spring frost. Z3. (virus-free bare-root crowns)

Items from our perennial plants warehouse ordered on or before March 7 will ship around March 31 through late April, starting with warmer areas and finishing in colder areas. Orders placed after March 7 will ship around late April through early-to-mid May, in the order in which they were received.
