Nemaguard Peach Seedling

Prunus persica 15-25' A chance seedling selected by the USDA in 1959 for its vigor and productivity.

Nemaguard seedlings have become a popular rootstock choice for peaches and are also compatible for grafting apricots, nectarines, almonds and some plums. Known primarily for its superior resistance to root-knot nematodes, which can infest and severely damage the roots of peach trees and other stone fruits. Plant these full-sized seedling trees for the small yellow-fleshed processing-grade fruit, or topwork (graft) other varieties onto them.

Cold hardy and fairly tolerant of waterlogged soils. This is not a grafted variety. Z4. Maine Grown. NEW! (3-6' bare-root trees)
