Low spreading groundcover with bright yellow daisy-like flowers used externally in oils and salves to treat bruises, sprains and inflammation. Never take internally except in homeopathic preparations. In the right conditions a few plants will develop into a dense long-lived patch. Beneficial insect attractor. Blooms in July. Grows successfully in our climate and is a generally accepted medicinal substitute for A. montana.
